New: Standby Room
We’re introducing Standby Room to help more members join full Groups when someone cancels or doesn’t arrive.
Members on the waitlist can enter the Standby Room before a Group begins. Available seats go to members waiting there in the order they joined the waitlist.
For hosts: Registered members have five minutes after the scheduled start to arrive. After that, members from the Standby Room may join as unused seats become available.
We’re trying this out and welcome your feedback at support@sharewellnow.com.
New: Spanish Groups are here!
We now offer Spanish groups! Community Members can now join member-led groups hosted entirely in Spanish. It's one more way to make sure support feels close to home, in the language that feels most natural to you.
What’s New?
-
Member-Led Spanish Groups: You can now find and join groups hosted entirely in Spanish.
-
Language Filters: Easily toggle between English and Spanish when searching for your next session.
-
Localized Topics: Explore our support categories translated specifically for our Spanish-speaking community.
How it Works
Want to find a Spanish-speaking group?
-
Head over to the Support Groups page.
-
Tap the Filters button.
-
Select Languages and check the box for Español.
-
To browse specific topics in Spanish, visit our Temas de Grupos de Apoyo page.
Ready to host your own session in Spanish?
When you create a group, simply:
-
Look for the Group Language setting.
-
Switch the option to Español.

We are so grateful to have you in our community, and we can't wait to see this new corner of ShareWell grow. 💛
New: Group Waitlists
Hosts can now add a waitlist to their group, so Members still have a path in even when the group is full.
How to turn it on:
-
Edit an existing group or create a new one.
-
Choose a waitlist size.
-
Save your changes. Your waitlist is now active for that group.
How it works for Members:
-
Right now, waitlists are available to paying Members, but we're working on expanding access.
-
When a group is full, paying Members will see a Join Waitlist option.
-
Members can join or leave the waitlist at any time, with no pressure either way.
-
While they wait, the Group's page shows their place in line.
-
When a spot opens up, we hold it for the next Member in line, giving them time to register, based on how soon the group starts:
-
2+ days away: 24 hours to register
-
1–2 days away: 12 hours to register
-
Within a day: 1 hour to register
-
Within 2 hours: 15 minutes to register
-
5 minutes before: No registrations
-
-
If they're not able to make it work, we move on to the next Member.
-
Members are notified by email and by text.

New: Increased Support Group Attendee Limit
Groups can now hold up to 40 attendees, allowing members more space to share and connect.
We know peers enjoy hosting game nights, celebrations, and larger groups, so we made this change with you in mind.
New: 1-on-1 Intro Call No-Show Policy
We have a small update for those booking 1-on-1 specialist calls.
As always, 15-minute intro calls remain free, so you can explore whether a specialist is the right fit for you. To better support our specialists and respect their time, we’ve introduced a $5 no-show fee for missed Intro Calls.
What this means:
-
If you attend your Intro Call → still completely free
-
If you cancel in advance → no charge
-
If you no-show without canceling, a $5 fee will be applied
-
The fee goes directly to the specialist
Why we’re making this change:
We’ve seen an increase in no-shows, and this is a simple way to help reduce missed Intro Calls and respect the time our specialists set aside.
We appreciate you being mindful when booking and updating your RSVP if plans change 💛
New: Customizable Group Guidelines
Hosts can now customize key guidelines to better match the needs and flow of their groups.
Default group settings:
-
Camera Required
-
Substance-Free
Customizable by the host to match their group’s needs:
-

-
Substance Flexibility
These settings are shown before participants join, so everyone knows what to expect and can choose the spaces that feel right for them. This update gives hosts more flexibility while creating clearer expectations and more aligned group experiences.
